We went to Tybee Island and climbed up the lighthouse. What a beautiful view of the Atlantic ocean.

Thanksgiving in Savannah, Georgia part 1
For Thanksgiving we went to Savannah Georgia.
Our first stop was Old Fort Jackson

Garet wasn't feeling well and I had just gone shopping with some of my friends...
I saw this amazing straw glasses and thought what more could Garet want to make him feel better than some straw glasses and....(my amazing friend Mary)...

We were going out of town for Thanksgiving so we celebrated early with the Hills!!
The following pictures are of Garet in "the bag" where they learn to fly with The Integrated Helmet and Display Sight System (IHADSS) which they use their right eye to fly.. its HARD

New Orleans
The end of August we drove to San Antonio and decided to stop in New Orleans for the rest of the day and night. We took a ride up the Mississippi river on one of the only steamboats left.

Garet had Gumbo and then we got a platter to just try some stuff.. Catfish, boudin balls, and alligator balls.. no NOT "THE" alligator balls, just balls of alligator mixed with some other stuff.
and Yes we walked down Bourbon street.. YIKES!!
November
November we drove down to Pensacola and saw the Homecoming of the Blue Angels.
We also drove up to Tuscaloosa, AL on Veterans Day and met up with one of Garet's old mission companions and saw an Alabama football game.
Yes they lost to Texas A&M but it was so SOOOO much fun!!!

Civil War reenactment
So back in July last year we went to Newton, AL this little town by us and saw a civil war reenactment. It was pretty cool since we have never been to one. It was interesting to hear all the Southerners Hoot and Holler when the South was shooting the North. An experience we will never forget... Here are some pictures for yall!!
